The Uffizi: Encountering the Masters

Have you ever seen the following image?

I’m sure you have, probably in a textbook or on the Internet or a poster in a cafe.

But what would you do if you had the chance to see this masterpiece in person?

If you’re a nerd like me, you’d rush to see it. So that’s what my friends and I did while we were in Florence one weekend (among other things).

Blue

Look for the beauty in ordinary things. College students are constantly in a hurry. Rushing from class, sports practice, studying, eating, etc. We are constantly worrying about what we should be doing next. As young adults we should attempt to take in every moment. In my everyday life, I try to treasure every moment. There is countless beauty that is hidden in our universe. Every time a notice something beautiful and intrinsic I snap a photo of it.
