As Loyola is in the middle of Baltimore City, there is an immense amount of mass transit available to students, faculty, and staff. Access to the lightrail, metro subway, local and commuter buses, and the Marc train is available through the MTA. (Looking to make a weekend trip to DC? The Marc train will beginning running weekend routes starting in December!)
Commuting options are also available on campus, including the Loyola Campus Shuttle and the Baltimore Collegetown Shuttle. The campus shuttles run the new compass route, taking riders to every stop on the Loyola Campus. The Collegetown shuttle takes user to other universities in the Baltimore area, including Goucher and Johns Hopkins, as well as to local hotspots, like the Towson Town Center and Penn Station.
